| This picture shows a flock of nine wild-geese decending to a cluster of susuki (Japanese pamps grass) and hagi (bush clover) growing by a river or lake. In the upper part of this print is a waka (31-syllable poem) roughly translated as, "To people visited by the autumn wind, the season's tidings are brought by wild-geese". |
